WANGEN pumps are perfect for biogas production plants due to their combination of sophistication and longevity. They convey various types of biomass material, such as liquid manure from livestock farming, vegetable scraps and food waste as well as renewable raw materials, e.g. corn and gras silage, whole-crop-silage and dung, in each case mixed up with liquid manure or recirculates.

Pumps for conveying substrate

Pumps in biogas plants have to convey viscous substrate between the fermenters. We offer different types of pump according to the substrate to be conveyed and the biogas plant in question. Our years-long experience enables us to develop practice-related solution concepts.

WANGEN pumps have robust designs because substrates are often highly viscous and have to be pumped over long distances. Supplemented with dry running protection, pressure gauges or flow meters, they display excellent performance even in automatic continuous duty.

Type WANGEN BIO-FEED

With a specially-developed milling screw, you can mix the solids that are to be added with the
separately added liquid and convey it into the desired containers.

With our innovative X-LIFT quick-change system, the wearing parts are easy to replace. Only a few simple steps are needed, without this requiring disassembly of the pump from the piping system. Thereby, WANGEN BIO-FEED is also suitable for use in restricted spaces.

Due to the pushing of the screw connection, WANGEN BIO-FEED turns into a high-performance
suction pump. You can use it as a central pump in your biogas plant.

To simplfy integration into your conveyor, our WANGEN BIO-FEED's pump body is equipped with two DN150 connections bearing bracket side, one DN400 connection for the screw conveyor and two DN200 at stator side. In addition, you can use these as cleaning openings and for rinsing the mixing chamber.

The WANGEN progressing cavity pump Type A has swivel pushers inside the suction chamber that switch the pump from suction to pump mode. The pump is not sensitive to foreign objects and the deposition of foreign objects in the suction housing is not possible. In addition, hollow rotors ensure quiet operation.

Type WANGEN BIO-MIX

WANGEN BIO-MIX pumps have been integrated for many years in the energy production process and undergone continuous further development and optimization. They are suitable for conveying maize silage, grass silage, GPS, solid manure, poultry dung, waste and co-ferments, which are mixed with liquid in the pump. Also available with WANGEN PUMPEN's developed and patented X-LIFT quick change system.

Type GL-F

The integrated winding protection mechanism of the WANGEN PTO shaft pump GL-F prevents fibers from winding around the joint and joint connections. The large inspection and cleaning openings on the suction housing allow an easy pump access.

The pump drive is provided by a power take-off or a drive shaft with a feather key. A robust pump solution for agricutural enineering.

GL-S
Type GL-S

The WANGEN progressing cavity pump of type GL-S is particularly well suited to umbilical hose systems. Large distances and height differences are mastered easily. It may be used as a stationary pump or mobile pump, attached to a slurry tanker or chassis. The comprehensive range of pumps available make them a product for universal use.

They carry watery or thick media, as well as media loaded with solids just as well.

Pumps for loading the separators

WANGEN pumps perform special tasks in biogas plants such as loading the separators for separating solid and liquid phases.

Conveying the substrates with their mostly high dry substance contents (DS) requires sophisticated pump technology. Optimum pumping results are guaranteed by the flow-optimized suction housing and a constant joint diameter which prevents the plaiting of long fibers.

Type WANGEN Xpress

The changing of wear parts with very few actions, without removing the pump from the pipeline system thanks to Service in Place.

The WANGEN Xpress pump range has been specially developed for easy maintenance and to considerably shorten the servicing time and thus reduce costs. Reliable pumping of media, along with fast rotor/stator changes are ensured by the patented X-LIFT quick change system developed by WANGEN PUMPEN. The X-LIFT flange is constructed on standard flange design principles.

Available in the sizes 48, 64, 78 and 94.

Pumps for feeding in solid material

With WANGEN BIO-MIX pumps, solid materials are conveyed into the pump via the jaw hopper and mixed there with liquid from fermenters, after-fermenters or liquid manure tanks. Only then is the mix transferred to the fermenter.

The advantages of feeding in liquid with WANGEN BIO-MIX pumps:

  • Good mixing in of the solid materials (less stirring required in the fermenter)
  • Troublefree conveyance over large distances and great differences in height (e.g. when extending biogas plants)
  • Several fermenters can be loaded with one feeding system
  • Optimum mixing in of even difficult solid materials, e.g. grass silage and solid manure.
