Pumps from Wangen go to South America.

A major order for WANGEN open throat progressive cavity pumps for a project in South America was accepted by the customer at the beginning of April. The Bello Medellin wastewater treatment plant in Columbia uses feed pumps from Wangen for its sewer sludge drying. Based on excellent experience from previous products, Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH is a reliable partner and supplier for this project in South America. The fast response time to the customer's special requirements, the well thought through modular system, the low spare parts requirement and, naturally, decades of experience in the pumping of dewatered sewage sludge were what tipped the scales in favour of relying on quality from the Allgäu region.

A complete package of open throat progressive cavity pumps, type WANGEN KL100 RS with an impressive total length of 12 metres and type WANGEN KL80 RS with a length of 10 metres was shipped. The pumps are customised designs for the project.

The well thought-through WANGEN quick-change system for the pump assembly and bearing block area ensures the shortest standstill times for the customer in case of wear or damage. The rotor-stator, gasket and bearing block parts can also be replaced if the stacked silo/sludge bankers are filled.

Drinking water is becoming an increasingly valuable resource. Non-potable and wastewater therefore have to be treated in complex processes and returned to the ecological cycle. Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH offers a complete pump portfolio for wastewater treatment engineering, which is used in wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering and drying as well as metering of the consumables.
